St. Mary’s Church is opposite the cottage and has bell ringing practice on Thursday evenings. The bells call the congregation to worship on Sunday mornings at around 10:30.
Mablethorpe beach is a mile away from the cottage. Walking due East you will find the town centre in 15 minutes with plenty of amusement arcades and places to eat. The town centre has access directly on to the beach. There are hundreds of activities take place on the beach, here are some examples.

If you head North East from the cottage, along Golf Road, you will arrive at the beach in a mile. Here you will find a huge car park with access to the beach and you can still walk into the town centre along the sand. There is a multi screen cinemas adjacent to this car park.
About half a mile North of this car park you will find another car park and the Seal Sanctuary. There is further access to the beach.
The beach is wide and runs from Grimsby in the North to way past Skegness in the South and some day we are planning to walk it!!!
Skegness is about 18 miles South and has plenty of amusements for the kids. This includes small and very large and scary roller coaster rides
Lincoln is about 45 miles away with an historic Cathedral, market and a good shopping centre.
There are a number of country walks and plenty of fishing lakes nearby.
In summer speedway racing bike meetings are held regularly on the beach and attracts a very large following.
